Hiding split face lines
I have a project where the floor finishes were applied using the split face command. The problem is the split face borders show on all the plan views.
So far the only way I can hide these lines is to turn off the floors. This doesn't work for the second floor however because the main floor walls show through.
Is there any way to control the visibility of these split face region border lines?

I don't do mine this way. I usually draw a 2nd floor on top of the
foundation to represent flooring materials. Then you can use filters to
turn them off. When you use the split face command do you give each area a
name? If so use filters to turn them off or redraw them using floors. I
think this program works much better if you model things as they are built
in real life.

I think you misunderstood my question. I was asking you if it was possible
to give it a name. I haven't played with that feature in awhile and I don't
remember if you have that ability or not. I think the easiest way to solve
your problem is to build your flooring with floors. You get yourself into
trouble with Revit when you try to cut corners.

I think what C Ryan was trying to explain with respects to creating floors is that he creates a floor that represents his structure, then creates a series of floor atop the structural floor to represent the floor finish surface areas and their respective thickness. Of course remember to use the Join Geometry tool on your composite floors to provide for any holes, openings or floor hosted components to behave properly wihtin.

Modify > View > Linework > Invisible Lines works great for this, but you have to do it in every view that each split face appears: plans, enlarged plans, 3D views. And TAB doesn't work to select the lines.
How about creating a fine, very light gray line style to use instead of Invisible? It won't read like a shaft.

A suggestion to control split face line visibility has been posted to the ideas board. Here's the link if you'd like to vote for it:
